AGE GROUPS

Athletes are assessed on fundamental skills, athletic ability, effort, and coachability.

U12 – U18

RISE ACADEMY TRYOUTS

Rise Academy represents the highest level of competition at Michigan Volleyball Academy. Open to athletes in 6th–12th grade, Rise Academy teams are built for players who are serious about their development and ready to compete at an elite level.

We recommend that you tryout for your GRADE (Fall of 2026)

Tryout entry fee is $70.

U13 – U18

national TEAM TRYOUTS

Seven female volleyball players in uniforms are gathered in a circle on an indoor court, engaged in conversation during a break or timeout.

Offered at all three MVA locations (Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Holland), National teams are designed for advanced athletes seeking high-level play through a 6-month season with less travel and a more manageable commitment.

Tryout entry fee is $70.

BOYS TEAM TRYOUTS

MVA Boys Volleyball offers athletes across West Michigan the opportunity to train in Grand Rapids and compete throughout the Midwest. Our coaches create a positive, empowering environment focused on developing volleyball skills, game knowledge, and the character needed to succeed on and off the court.

Tryout entry fee is $70.

regional TEAM TRYOUTS
