MBA STAFF ADDITION
Michigan Basketball Academy is excited to introduce Jared Redell as our Director of Basketball. Jared brings more than 20 years of coaching experience, including Division I college basketball, elite academy development, and varsity high school coaching.
Jared previously served as an assistant coach at Cleveland State University and Eastern Michigan University, where he was involved in recruiting, player development, scouting, and game preparation. His experience at the Division I level gives him valuable insight into what it takes for players to compete and succeed at the next level.
He also spent time working at IMG Academy, one of the premier training environments in the country. That experience helped shape his vision for what Michigan Basketball Academy can become.
“The academy model focuses on developing the complete player — skill development, basketball IQ, work habits, and character,” Redell said. “Our goal at MBA is to create an environment where players improve every time they step in the gym.”
In addition to his college experience, Jared has spent over two decades coaching high school basketball, including extensive varsity coaching experience, helping players develop both on and off the court.
“Basketball is a powerful tool to teach discipline, teamwork, and leadership,” Redell said. “We want MBA to be a place where players not only become better basketball players, but better competitors and teammates.”
Under his leadership, MBA will continue to grow into a true basketball academy — focused on teaching the game the right way and creating opportunities for players across Michigan to develop and compete.
